How I got the bag of my dreams for a fraction of the cost
For this weeks ‘Friday Favourites’ I want to share with you a bag I have just purchased which I have been lusting over for a while now.
It is the See by Chloe Tony bag in the small size. This bag to me is utter perfection. It is beautiful, wearable and gives me that boho look. If you are a fan of Chloe, which I most certainly am but I just can’t afford those massive price tags. Their bags are far out of reach of my spending budget right now, but Chloe has a sister brand called See by Chloe which is a lot more affordable if you are looking in comparison. I’m not going to lie to you and say it is high street prices but for designer bags, it is not that bad. Especially as you can get them on sale often which makes them a lot more purse-friendly.
I had been after this bag for so long but I just didn’t want to pay full price for it. I am one of those people who will try to find a discount code for literally everything before I buy it. It’s just the bargain hunter in me.
I had seen often that See by Chloe bags tended to go into the sale or could have discount codes added to them. Places like MatchesFashion, Coggles, House of Fraser and The Outnet.com seemed to stock a wide variety of these bags and they were always discounted. As I had a lot of time on my hand sat the moment I decided to fully dedicate myself to find the bag I wanted at the cheapest possible price I could. This took weeks! I am not going to pretend to you that it was easy, it was damn hard work. Being able to find the bag you want, in the colour you want, for the price you want, was just difficult!
I know this may seem trivial to take this so seriously but that is how much I wanted the bag. It has been my dream bag for so long and seeing people style it out online just made my desire for it intensify.
Then it happened. The bag in the colour I wanted. The size I wanted (I wanted a specific size) with the price that I could hardly believe was real.
I managed to get the small suede and textured-leather bag in a neutral/beige colour for £124!!! I found it on Matches Fashion and it was reduced from £350. Over half off!! I had never purchased something so quickly before in my life.
When it arrived it was well packaged and had all of the protective tissue paper around it. It was even more beautiful than I had ever imagined. The mix of suede and leather was lovely. The quality of the bag was impeccable and it had a lovely weight to it. It felt luxury. The size of it is quite reasonable as you can fit all of your essentials plus room for a little extra. It even has a pocket in the front which fits my iPhone XS in perfectly.
Since getting this bag I haven’t been able to wear it much due to the current situation but I have been styling it out with new pieces I’ve bought for spring/summer. I am looking forward to being able to wear this bag properly in the future but for now, I will just have to wear it around my flat!
Love, Shannon Leigh xx
If you are still interested in the bag I’ve mentioned above, it is available on Net-A-Porter but for full price.
